My 2 year triple play contract ended a couple months ago. I also have 4 cell phones on the family plan.Yeah, we’re talking about $500 per month. Time to see what’s up. I take a good look at my bill for the first time in a while. As long as it’s around the same price each month I don’t scrutinize it. The “one pay” total can vary monthly if one of my kids or my wife rents a few movies.
I always thought my landline charges were a little over $30. I negotiate my way through the website a find a screen that breaks down my landline charges.
Landline total $65 per month!
Time out. We only have the basic service. We never even use that phone. How can this be.
I make phone call and speak to the only intelligent person I have reached by phone.
Get this. There are two charges: 1) Family 911 LLc, and another…VW..(I have it written down somewhere)something totalling over $30!
The Verizon rep tells me “those are not Verizon charges, Verizon is billing you on “behalf” of those companies for some subscription service you agreed to. (PLEASE REREAD THE PREVIOUS LINE) He said 99.9% of the time those charges are bogus. One of your kids goes to a game site online and clicks the “I Agree” button and in the fine print gives the criminals the ability to put a charge on your Verizon phone bill every month. I YOU HAVE KIDS PLAYING GAMES ONLINE I’LL BET YOU BEING ROBBED RIGHT NOW. The gentleman goes on to say that Verizons position is that it’s my responsibility to review my bill for any incorrect charges. WHAT? I tell him that MY position is that it’s Verizons responsibility to charge me what we agreed to, an noT give common thieves a gateway into my f*ing pocket. Are you kidding me?
He actually totally agreed with me. Then he remembered we were being recorded and started to backpedal.
He gave me phone numbers for both companies, but had no physical address. When I asked if he could tell me how long this has been going on he told me at least the 7 months he could see on his screen.
He told me I would never find them anyway. I told him that I have resources. (And a very,very,….(last time) VERY BAD TEMPER.
I’ve tried at least a dozen times to actually speak to someone in the last few days, to no avail.
I am just calling because i want to make a couple adjustments to my Fios package. I’ll deal with the theft seperatley.
I’ve been intentionally hung up on twice after 30+ minute conversations at almost exactly 9pm. (Closing time) It’s kinda like calling the a the 7th grade class at your local middle school, only there has not been a teacher in the room for a month.
I’ve been told “I don’t have a supervisor.” I actually believe that is possible…..on and on who cares they suck.
So in summary, Verizon, is in cahoots (no spell check) with real criminals to steal from us. And furthermore, there is no one in charge. WOW!
If you are an investor, sell your entire position. I know it’s hard to believe, but your investment is clearly at risk. Matter of time.
