After calling ahead to make sure Apple had my product in stock – I then proceeded to get terrible customer service when I arrived at the store. I went up to a rep and he processed my order (the product never came out and the rep forgot that he was assisting me).
40 minutes later… I ask another rep where my product is and she has no idea – so she processes it again.
25 minutes later… She forgets about my order and I go up to her to confront her about my product. She then proceeds to tell me it is no longer in stock. I ask for the manager – the manager apologizes and says that for my experience she will order the product and deliver it to me (completely free of charge – delivery and the full cost of the product). I am happy that they went out of their way to make up for their lack of bad customer service, i then leave and 15 minutes later the manager calls me and says that she needs my credit card number to pay for the product. She refuses to agree that she ever promised me a free product.
After calling the customer service line, they tell me that the montreal store refuses to give me the product free of charge and that I have to deal directly with the store if I want anything to happen.
Never in my life have I experienced worse customer service – it was shocking as well because Apple pride’s itself on it’s excellent customer service.
I have been an avid Apple user for 5 years – my respect for the company is no longer present.
