Terrible customer service at Montreal apple store

After calling ahead to make sure Apple had my product in stock – I then proceeded to get terrible customer service when I arrived at the store. I went up to a rep and he processed my order (the product never came out and the rep forgot that he was assisting me).

40 minutes later… I ask another rep where my product is and she has no idea – so she processes it again.

25 minutes later… She forgets about my order and I go up to her to confront her about my product. She then proceeds to tell me it is no longer in stock. I ask for the manager – the manager apologizes and says that for my experience she will order the product and deliver it to me (completely free of charge – delivery and the full cost of the product). I am happy that they went out of their way to make up for their lack of bad customer service, i then leave and 15 minutes later the manager calls me and says that she needs my credit card number to pay for the product. She refuses to agree that she ever promised me a free product.

After calling the customer service line, they tell me that the montreal store refuses to give me the product free of charge and that I have to deal directly with the store if I want anything to happen.

Never in my life have I experienced worse customer service – it was shocking as well because Apple pride’s itself on it’s excellent customer service.

I have been an avid Apple user for 5 years – my respect for the company is no longer present.

I live in Massachussetts and my 16 year old had my husbands debit card and went into an Apple store and walked out with a 32 gb ipod $376. later....I was furious with my son first off, although it was his money in the acct. his name WAS NOT the name on the card and when my son told the sales associate that it was his dads card she proceeded to ring him up!!! Way to protect the credit holder...it's all about making a sale! When I called the response that I got was " we try our best to trust that the person holding the card is who they say they are" Well if you looked at the name on the card and the name that my son signed tow completely different names....tried to talk to a higher boss never got a response! I feel with all of the fraud and identity theft that things like this wouldn't happen if the sales associates did their jobs!!!
