I purchased a Canon Camera online with Simply Electronics on 29th June 2011 for £194 and the reasons for this is because they were the cheapest on the market. As soon as I purchased the money was instantly taken from my account which I did find suspicious. When I checked my account my order status just said “new” which I found was very vague and didn’t sound very professional at all.

It was this that lead me to do some further research on the company, why I didn’t do the research before hand is beyond me. I found lists and lists of complaints on forums stating they had problems with their deliveries, their items becoming faulty and their refunds not been issued in a timely manner.
On their website currently they are advertising a sale advert that states Fast Delivery, Low Prices and In Stock. On their website it states that the usually delivery takes up to 3-8 business days. Unfortunately, today, 12th July 2011 exceeds the 8th business day and my order status still says “new”.

I tried to contact them by phone but their queues last up to an hour. When I finally got in touch with them to let them know my insecurity they told me that if I want a refund I need to do it via email on their contact page. I message the refund team and told them my insecurities and they reassured me that they have contacted logistics and they’re dealing with my order and are dealing with accordingly and dispatching it ASAP. However since then it’s been about 4-5 business days and there is still no sign of any progress with my order.

I have contacted them since and they have stated they have back logs but they cannot give me a date for my delivery. I’m starting to become impatient and very insecure as they’re not able to deal with things in a business manner/timely manner and the complaints are endless.

Similar story except I am now on my 11th day of 'new'. Currently pinging emails back and forth with their slow customer support about if my order will be sent this week. If not I will have to start refund procedures which according to reports is quite a tricky business.

Despite masquerading as a UK company, this company is evidently based in Hong Kong.

Ordered a £500 mobile phone. No show after several weeks.

A premium rate telephone number for their 'customer service' with calls queues lasting literally hours.

So, I e-mailed (the only other option). The automated promise of all e-mails being answered within '24hrs' is, needless to say, a lie.

My bank is now involved to get my monies returned.

A truly dreadful company! I will never buy anything again without doing a Google search first and checking out the forums. Like hundreds, possibly thousands of other customers I ordered goods that never turned up and I am now in the process of trying to get a refund. This company should be banned from advertising on the internet.

I got my item delivered after 4 weeks. After few months the item stopped working and I sent it back. It was with their service centre for 6 weeks before I got it back only to discover that the item is broken even more. It has been 6 weeks since I sent the item back again to simplyelectronics. They refused to sent me my money back. Simply electronics - LATE DELIVERY, POOR SERVICE, POOR ITEMS, MONEY BACK NOT GUARANTEED.

I ordered a Nikon coolpix p510 from Simply Electronics, after 1 week of waiting I have revived no order dispatch emails, I contacted them both by emails and phone calls but all they said was that ' the item would arive ASAP'. All I wish now is that I'd reviewed the company before buying from them which has tought me a lesson. NEVER BUY FROM SIMPLY ELECTRONICS!

Although I cannot call them a scam, Simply Electronics is the closest thing possible to being a scam.
I ordered a phone that according to the website was in stock. They took the money within minutes and guess what after many many phone calls, a lot of wasted time on my behalf, false promises on their behalf they still have not dispatched my item. As such I was forced to cancel the item after 8 days.
After 4 days they promised me verbally that the item would ship the following date.
Now I know it will be a fight to get a refund from these cowboys.
Never use this outfit of clowns, you will only be disappointed.

They sent an email that refund process would take up to 2 weeks but now it has been more than a month and I haven't received my refund. Wish i'd checked - I saw that paypal used them so i thought they were bona fide. I think Paypal and Ebay have a strong brand name still for protecting the seller but they should n't support simplyelectronics as they give them a bona fide appearance. I know the only reason I considered using them was that they used paypal. I think everybody who has had a problem with simplyelectronics should be asking that paypal, visa and mastercard boycott them. I'm needless to say waiting for a refund. Has anybody contacted the uk trading standards with a petition or the program 'watchdog'. I'm aghast that these people have been getting away with it for so long. In 7 days i will get paypal to open a dispute if I dont receive my refund. I think it would be good if everybody who used paypal does this.

I wish to file a complaint against the company Simply Electronics with whom I have dealt with over the past seven weeks. After having purchased an item from their website which I had not received eleven days after buying, I cancelled my order due to the shady behavior of the company with regards to my order. Forty days later, I am still waiting for my refund which the company says on their website, will be provided immediately.
“If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, SimplyElectronics.net will immediately issue a credit to your credit card in the amount of the charge.” Extract from the Terms and conditions of Simply Electronics
Since the cancellation of my order I have had to put up with numerous excuses from the company as to why I have not received my refund. The past seven weeks that I have spent dealing with this company, have left me with little doubt that this is a company who walks the line between legal and illegal business practices –tricking customers into buying their products through the advertisement of false promises that become evident as soon as the payment transaction has gone through. Simply Electronics is a company who plays with customers’ patience and time, in the hopes, I believe, that the dissatisfied customers will eventually give up on their demand for a refund.
I will provide you as attachted, with a chronological outline of my dealings with Simply Electronics.

June 9th, 2012. I ordered 1 x Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera Body (Order Number 528206-806645) on the website SimplyElectronics.net without receiving any formal receipt (I have only received an e-mail confirmation and an automatic message after paying the order online, please see the attachment).
June 21st, 2012 I decided to cancel my order and demanded a full refund.
The reasons that I decided to cancel my order include:
• The fact that I did not receive my order during the time frame promised (The item being in stock on the website, the trader guaranteed the item to be shipped within 1-2 working days and delivered within 2-7 working days )
• The shady behavior of the customer service representatives:
 The inability or unwillingness of the representatives to give me any clear and concrete information concerning my order.
 Their refusal to provide me with a written date at which time my order would be shipped. They only gave me a date for the shipment by phone which was inexact.
Details concerning the cancellation of my order:
• The Customer Service representative accepted the request by phone and asks me to confirm it by e-mail. But, while I was writing my e-mail cancellation a few minutes after my phone call, the online status of my order changed from “new” (I had the misfortune of seeing this for 10 days after my payment) to “packing”.
 I have a hard time believing that it was just a coincidence that this changing operation happened just right after my call requesting the cancellation of my order, while one of their online Customer Services Agent kept saying to me that the item that I purchased was not present in their stock.
• I nevertheless sent a cancellation email that same day demanding a cancellation of my order. To my surprise, the status of my order the following day was listed as “shipping”, please see the attachment).. At the same time I received a reply to my cancellation request, from the customer representative stating that I had not given the company enough time to cancel my order and that the product was now being handled by the shipping department and they were therefore no longer able to ‘help’ me.
• I therefore asked for the tracking number of my order which Simply Electronics refused to give to me. I had to contact DHL (delivery company) myself in order to obtain information concerning my product. In speaking with a DHL employee I discovered that the time delays that Simply Electronics had given me were in fact false. (I had been told by Simply Electronics that I would receive my refund as soon as the package was returned to them. I found out from UPS that Simply Electronics received that package on June 30th; however several days after this date, I still had no news from them. I thus informed them that I was aware of the fact that they had received the package and I once again demanded my refund).
• Despite my unrelenting pressure to receive my refund, Simply Electronics has put off providing me with my refund both through taking a lot more time to reply to my emails than was previously the case, and by giving me weak excuses as to why the refund has not taken place.
 The most recent excuse has been that there is a problem with their credit card processor.

After seven weeks of waiting and countless emails exchanged, I still have not received a refund. I have tried to negotiate with the company itself however as you will see for yourself in reading the emails that I have attached, this tactic is useless when dealing with a company that seems determined to evade any sort of responsibility that they may have towards their customers.

My sole request is to be reimbursed the 819,95 euros that I paid for an item that I cancelled over a month ago.

Worst online shopping experience ever. Took my money 4 days after I canceled order and proceeded to send the goods. The camera manufacturer has confirmed I have received grey market goods and have no warranty. I am returning camera in hope of full refund so now the wait begins!! On 26th July I paid for a Galaxy S3 mobile phone which costed Eur 519.95. On website it was stated that order will be dispatched in 4 working days. After sending a lot of e-mails and waited for 4 wks I informed them to have a refund for this order. Another 4 wks has been passed and order status is still shown as "Refund is still processing". I tried to phone several times but always in vain. In my life I never met with such a company.
