a. I wanted to start a trial subscription and when I clicked on the button, it forced me to pay a yearly subscription fee with no mention of the trial subscription OR a way to cancel my subscription – that’s cheating. Customer support says that once a yearly subscription is paid there’s no way to cancel the same. Customer support wrote in saying that users are not compelled to purchase the subscription any point when getting started. 2 options are made available to users who wish to use IMM. They can use the program for 30 days and then pay Rs 365 + taxes or they can pay Rs 325 + taxes if they opt for instant payment. However, no such 2 options came up when I clicked on the trial subscription button.

The above was okay but what really made me angry was this -

b. The presence of enhanced security, like codes generated by security tokens/SMS codes/security questions, obstructs Intuit Money Manager from accessing my primary account at the Axis Bank site. What’s the use of this product if I can’t import the data from my primary savings a/c?

In effect, I won’t get my money back and at the same time making me a very unhappy customer.

It seems once a company gets your money, especially electronically, only then do the issues of real use arise-and then it is too late. They just don't care, they have your money.

@Satish - did you report your incident mentioned in (b) to intuit? i understand your frustration. however, in the software products, there is no perfect solution. as long as producer of the product sincerely reacts and works on the issues reported, i am fine with it.
Intuit Money Manager Team
We sent you an email on Thursday 11th Nov & Friday 12th Nov. However, in case you missed it for some reason I am enclosing the mail for your reference.

Dear Mr. Satish,
This is with reference to your comments on Intuit Money Manager. Our teams have checked for the problems you faced and we would like to clarify the following.
Our records indicate that you signed up for a 90 day free trial of Intuit Money Manager on 17th January 2010 and your free trial period would have expired on 16th April 2010.
Since you availed of the free trial you could only see the payment option when you logged in on 9th November 2010.
We would also like to clarify that we do have a free trial option for all new users. I am enclosing the screen grab of the page that allows you to select one of the two options.
We have tested and confirm that the Axis Bank account synchronisation is working fine.
However, in case you have enabled additional authentication (i.e. token / SMS codes) you may not get your account synchronised.
Please note that you have the option of disabling the additional authentication which will enable account synchronisation.
Regards,
