The best thing you can do is boycott Lenovo, don't buy anything from them. It would have been my first Lenovo, but now, I don't think I would even look at any deal from Lenovo

Lenovo Sales fools us again and commits an unfair business practice.

This would have been my very first Lenovo computer purchase. Lenovo had the opportunity to establish a long term relationship with me, but this will now not be the case. Lenovo needs to do the right thing and honor the deal they offered.

I went to their site because of their sale and advertised savings. I gave them my information to register an account with them and they didnt fulfill the order. The "out of stock" email is an excuse to weasel out of honoring their sale and in turn take all our info with them.

I don't know why they did it, just to fool us around?

How can a _manufacturer_ be out of stock and cancel the order? Shouldn't backorder be the result?

I am disappointed with Lenevo... They sell laptops that they do not have in stock, make us waste our time then cancel our orders... gonna get a HP, Toshiba or Acer instead.. No more lenovos for me.

lenova is doing a unfair sales tactics, i will never buy anything from lenova or thier products. Liers they think they are smart to cancel an order mentioning out of stock.

They are the ones that advertised the sale and posted the coupon code, right smack on their website. Then they cancel saying out of stock to everybody. They are a bunch of liars and this is one shady business practice.

Shame on you, Lenovo Sales. You create a deal on the front page of your site, show the item as in stock, authorize the full charge to our credit cards, and provide us with a ship date, then you come back more than 24 hours later with a canned, email response of lies?? Your own representatives even state that it was a "pricing error," not a stock issue, yet your email claims it was due to "low inventory"? Give me a break. You make customers by telling us the TRUTH.

I called Lenovo (866)428-4465 and was first told that all the orders from y'day were canceled due to the price error. Then I asked the lady to send me that in an email. She puts in on hold for a few minutes, then came back telling me that some people got that order then it ran out of stock also due to the pricing error now most of the orders are canceled. If I still want the Y460, she suggest me to talk to the Sales which is probably going to waste my time so I decided to hang up. Oh well.... That's for my Lenovo experience!

Very disappointed. I ordered before 6:00AM EST. Just got a crapy cancellation email. I feel very bad for Lenovo, and maybe never buy anything from it again.

Cheap marketing stratergy

I will not be ordering from Lenovo in the future due to this. At least pretend it was a pricing mistake instead of canceling orders because you don't want to honor sales at the price you yourselves posted an item at.

I am disappointed in Lenovo's failure to honor their offer. I believe if they are out of stock, they should provide a raincheck to the customers whose orders were canceled.

Placed 2 separate orders - one by paying through Amazon and one by paying directly to Lenovo. Both got cancelled.

Lenovo did not honor my order, and evidence suggests they are being dishonest about the reason for the cancellation.

I have been speaking with two CSRs and although their email lies and states that it is an out of stock issue, both CSRs state it is a price issue.

Deceptive business practices!! There is no way they could have went out of stock as I ordered 10 mins. after the code came out. Lenovo is lying and trying to damage control in which case is losing out on a small amount of money compared to how big they claim their company is. Disgusted!!!!!!

Lenovo failed to honor their own price! My order has been canceled, according to them due to low stock, at the same time CSR's provide contradictory explanation (price error, low stock, coupon error etc). I will not be shopping there again!

If you are out of these you should offer a comparable offer!

Why can't companies be honest and just say it was a price mistake?

My order got canceled too because the Y460 laptop is out of stock as Lenovo said. Why does Lenovo choose to cancel my order instead of backorder it? It's simple: because they don't want to honor their advertised sale prices.

Customer service agent stated they received over 2500 orders and cannot fulfill orders. They will not offer anything for their mistake other than asking us to look at more expensive models.

This is an outrage; Lenova cannot advertise orders and not honor them, that is bad business. I even made plans to sell my old laptop and move from HP to Lenova because of this deal.

If someone at Lenovo posted an incorrect price for the Y460 laptop on your website, accept it and learn from it but don't punish the very people who purchase your products by cancelling the orders. Good Will is priceless compared to the loss of revenue that will be suffered at your own hand.

They also cancelled my order. If they were out of stock they could send me a slightly higher version of what is in stock.

I called and spoke with a customer service representative. There was a discrepancy with what he said vs. this email. The email states it is out of stock and the person said it was a price error. If you look under section 6 though, it says:

Considering there is still a Y460 available with two different components (Core i3 vs. Core i5 and ATI graphics vs. Intel HM55) and the rest of the system being identical, I would like to have this substituted as stated in the terms and conditions.

If they wouldn't honer my order, I wouldn't shop any single thing from them. They lied their customers that they run out of stocks. But still selling in their site at a higher price. I wouldn't suprise, if they end up losing their market share and going out of business...

Amazing, their web site still allow me to order without coupon.

If this was a pricing mistake Lenovo could at least have the grace to admit the error. This I could accept. Saying they could not fulfill the order due to unexpected demand after the order was acknowledged is just pure bs and is not acceptable. Your right to cancel my order as stated in section 2 clearly doesn't apply here, since according to the email sent and Nano's company response , this is not a pricing error, but a matter of being out of stock.

According to the terms we agreed to, you owe us an equal or greater laptop at the same price.

Very unfair practice!!! By lenovo

Extremely disappointed. Was hoping to finally replace my HP laptop with my first Lenovo. Not sure how their systems work in accepting and canceling orders, but I'm not impressed. I'm around laptop customers often at work, so I suppose I finally have something to say about Lenovo.

I am curious as to why they kept taking orders if they had already ran out of stock. It seems to be unfair to people who actually placed orders for this laptop and to have it canceled by the company the next day. I talked on the phone to a customer service rep and received no help or advice concerning this matter. Moreover, there was no waitlist, or backorder option. I am very disappointed with Lenovo

The statement I go from 2 customer no service reps stateted taht their was a pricing error and the orders were cancelled. The letter stated over sold. So whats the truth. If they over sold them just give us similar item for the price. If this is how you treat a customer then i hope you lose all your customers

I too would like to know if I can get a similarly priced machines as per the terms. I do not think that it is fair that a company can string its' customers along and provide horrible customer service when inquiries are brought up via telephone or chat. I typically love Lenovo laptops, but doubt that I would recommend anyone using any of lenovo's websites to purchase because of this.

A very bad customer experience. I will not advise any of my friends to go for lenovo. Above all the response from the company shakes my confidence in it. How can they have built a order system which doesn't know what is stock in hand. How can a company like lenovo take thousands of order and then realize that they were sold out after few hundred orders. Definitely a very bad customer service and deceitful response.

If Lenovo let you place the order, and send out the order confirmation email, that mean they should fulfill the order without any excuse.

I smell BS!!

I can't elaborate any more on what everyone else has said. All of us buy technology items and this sour experience will keep many of us from even considering Lenovo products going forward. Some type of conciliatory offer should be made by Lenovo.

I'm extremely disappointed with how Lenovo has handled this situation. Very bad business practice and by my take on the conversations I had with their Customer Service and Sales Representatives they are not going to do anything to rectify this issue so we have to do something about it. I, for one, certainly intend to share the story of how this company won't honor its own terms & conditions with my friends and family when I'm recommending that they don't buy Lenovo products, if they don't make this right.

Shame on Lenevo. Thank you for wasting our time. How in the world you were able to take orders if you were out of stock. Hire a better programmer to fix a simple bug in your system. If inventory is zero then stop taking orders if you are never going to have them back in stock. If your intention was only to get our email id credit card# address and tel# then you are illegally collecting our personal information by deceptive practices. Everybody please report this to FTC.

I had always thought that Lenovo was a responsible company until this experience. Clearly they do not respect the customer. I plan to place an appropriate comment on any lenovo deal that I find in the future. Perhaps a group effort could result in Lenovo changing their ways. If not at least future "buyers" will be appropriately warned before being disappointed by Lenovo.

I think Lenovo would rebound and let me have the deal as advertised.

Do you know what HP/IBM/ACER will do if they sold out? Honor the offer with a better spec units. I can't accept price error but not sold out from the LENOVO. DON'T BUY LENOVO and DON'T TRUST THEIR SALES.

The WORST customer experience and "service" I've experienced from any online store, and to think Lenovo is ranked #4 in PC market share?! Well, not for much longer I suppose. Still NO satisfactory answers from Lenovo on how or if they will rectify this.

Online order statuses and ship dates that are incorrect, emailed cancellations with reasons that don't match what Lenovo's own sales team says, credit card charges tied up for days, etc.

Is anyone from Lenovo listening??? We're now going on over 4.5 days with no resolution, no response to emails, no refunds through Amazon, etc. This is truly becoming more and more disappointing on Lenovo's part.

It's unfortunate that Lenovo spiraled out of control on the 20th and could not coral the lies to provide a cohesive reason for the cancellation. It's clear that Lenovo made decisions without contsidering the consequences. The laptop is only as good as the customer service and from the multitude of complaints on the web not only regarding this issue, but many, many others, Lenovo's growth will eventually decline unless they change their ways.

Customer no service - They are still selling the Y460. You can order it but its more money. What gives. Why do they lie to us. Spread the word if they do not honor the price!
