My wife, not knowing anything about photography but wanting to get something special for me for Christmas, ordered an item from the Nikon store on December 7. When I opened the box on December 25 (Christmas Day) we both discovered that she had ordered the wrong item.
However, when we called to return the item we were told that there was a 14-Day return policy and that there was “nothing more they could do”. The item is still sealed in it’s plastic wrapper and still in it’s original shipping box. NOTHING about this item needs “refurbishing” or even relabeling.
A 14-Day return policy for an ONLINE store – especially at christmas time – is RIDICULOUS and inexcusably anti-customer.
For a company that enjoys a very loyal customer base AND can charge “high-end” for all their products having a short, anti-customer, 14-Day return policy is inexcusable.
