I called to order a pizza and was immediately put on hold.. while holding, I decided to drive there because I was bringing it to a friends. By the time I got there, approximately 10 minutes later, I was still on hold.. I waited in line (3 orders in front of me) for 10 minutes and was still on hold. I got to the counter and informed the girl behind the counter that they had really bad phone service. I then remembered my friend warning me about him experiencing the same endless wait. Anyway, she asked if the person on hold was me and I talked into the phone to confirm it was. Then she just hung up and asked what I’ll have.. I ordered my pizza and payed and then was told that i’d be a 40 minute wait. This might have been something that I would have liked to know before hand. So, being I had 40 minutes to spare, I went home, waiting for the time to pass. After 45 minutes, I went back assuming I could go in, pick up my pie and leave. I guess this was a bit of a crazy assumption. I walked in and asked about my pizza and they told me it was just coming out of the oven. Figuring that meant maybe a minute or two, I stood to the side and waited.. and waited.. and waited.. for 25 minutes. I honestly think that they forgot to make it. Finally after they hand me my pizza, I walk out.. Now, the entire time this was going on I was obviously frustrated, but I wasn’t rude, just a little short in conversation. What brought me from frustrated to angry was the fact that this whole time I didn’t receive an apology or single sign of sympathy. In fact, as I was walking out everyone looked out the window at me as if I was bothering them. Maybe if I would have tipped I would have gotten an apology or possibly even a free beer. A recommendation to them would be that if they don’t want to talk to people on the phone, don’t advertise carry out or delivery or at least just tell the people on the line they’ll need to come in to order.
