Boostmobile has retained the fees that I paid to keep my phone connected in order that I may still have phone service when I migrated my number to their parent company Sprint. Sprint assured me that I would be able to get a refund from Boost, and Boost’s response has been that they do not give refunds. Boost has a third-party collector that processess fees, and does not have the ability to issue refunds. Boost has also stated that it is a part of their Terms & Conditions that they will not return fees.
I paid for a service that Boost did not have to supply since I ported my number, their contention is that they were willing to provide the service. My contention is that they did not provide the service and therefore should not be entitled to retaining the funds. It is a matter of $45.00.
