I called AT&T to let them know i was moving my 2 telephone numbers from AT&T to Cablevision. I told them to make the notation in my account so that when Cablevision calls they’ll be able to get the numbers from AT&T. The telephone rep asked me so you want to disconnect? I said NO!! NO! NO! Whatever you do, do not disconnect me! I want to keep my numbers so that Cablevision can have my numbers transferred to them. She said ok, asked me a few more questions and said I have 2 days for Cablevision to get the numbers. I called Cablevision to let them know about the 2 days. They said this should not be the case, they think AT&T went ahead and disconnected my lines. I called AT&T back in a panic asking that they please NOT disconnect my lines and do everything they can to reverse what the incompetent customer service rep did. Now they are telling me there is a 50% chance I could lose my telephone numbers. This is unacceptable. AT&T is the absolute worst and I will never ever use them for any of my phone services again. I am so happy I switched to Cablevision and told everyone i know not to use AT&T.
