I recently received some letters from AT & T that I needed to call them to redo my business account plan because the plan I was on “Bizaver” was being discontinued. I called and got a nice lady I will call Lisa. Lisa went over my account and told me all the things we needed to change and even charges that were going to be reduced.. Then she asked me about my cell phones. After discussing my present cell phone plans with my current carrier she began to show me what AT & T could do for me. It all made sense so I decided to package everything together and it was going to save me a bundle! That’s when the nightmare started. A few days later we received our new AT & T IPhones3, at that point I had to call and get them activated. Lisa was no longer in the picture her work was done. I was connected with a gentleman who activated my cell phone with no problem. later in the day I called back to activate my other two cell phones on the plan. The customer service rep I got could’t find my account, none of my business phone numbers or my cell phone numbers would pull it up. It was as though we didn’t exist. I explained earlier I had gotten one of the numbers activated with no problem but it didn’t matter we didn’t exist anymore. I was told the only thing I could do was return the phones and they would send out new ones. Clearly this customer service rep did not have a clue. After an hour of arguing and becoming increasingly frustrated I hung up and simple called back and ask for a manager or supervision. I got Isiah, a manager, I explained my problem he took my number where he could call me back, promised he was going to find out what was going on and call me right back. That is getting close to a month now and I have yet to receive my call back from Isiah. I called AT & T again and got a different rep who immediately pulled my account up and activated my other two cell phones in less than 5 minutes. When Lisa “sold” me on putting my cell phones together with my business account we went over my coverages with Verizon, I was under the impression I was getting tat for tat, not true. Everything I was told either wasn’t true or was only true to a certain degree. I had unlimited text messaging on my previous plan, with AT & T I found out I didn’t even have text messaging at all , so there’s another $30 bucks a month, also found out I didn’t have insurance which I had previously so there’s another $18 bucks a month, With Verizon I had no limit on using internet/facebook etc with AT & T there’s a limit so get ready here comes another $45 buck a month per phone. In short AT & T is the worst company I have ever dealt with. There customer reps are not trained in their field and seem to know less than a five year old. The money I thought i was going to save has been eaten up by all the charges put back on that I thought I had to start with or I would never have changed. You can’t depend on a manager or supervisor for help they are just as bad as the customer service reps. I had to make another call today to find out about data service and extra charges. Would’n you know it, the customer service rep couldn’t find my account under any of the numbers I gave her, again we didn’t exist. After a good solid hour on the phone she finally found my account. Unbelievable! AT & T is the worst, by far, company I’ve ever had to deal with.
